It's almost half an hour past midnight and I'm dead tired of staring at the computer, but I have to finish my 3d modeling project for printing tomorrow. I still have to add materials and furniture to my model. How I hate the quality of the image in my laptop. It looks way better with the school's computers. Too bad the project is due so soon!!! Anyway, I should have worked during the afternoon when there was still light, at least I wouldn't need to depend so much on my desk lamp. The yellowish glow is giving me headaches.
It's funny that in past nights I was okay with sleeping well past midnight, but not tonight, of all nights. Bit ironical, considering that doing this project means the grade for my entire class. The other nights I just read to my heart's content. Cannot do that, have to focus on school first.
My extremely reading moment was when I skipped class during my senior year just to finish reading a book. It was the first installment of the Mortal Engines Quartet, "Mortal Engines". I just could not put it down. I told my mother I was way too sick to attend classes. Which was kinda the truth because my stomach wasn't feeling very well. She led me stay home after promising that I would catch up with my homework and school work the next day and not let my grades fall. I remained in the house and read eight hours straight. By the time my sisters came back from school my eyes were watery because I had been reading the whole time non-stop. And at the same time I was feeling jittery with happiness and excitement. I LOVED the book and rushed desperately needed the second installment.
That was the real extreme case of reading that I once experienced. Others include not sleeping at all (which happens often) just to finish reading a novel. I'm that addicted to books and stories! I just have to read read read.
But for now, my project comes first. Gosh, I'm bobbing my head...
My fingers are twitching toward the bookcase in my room... oh no, my fingers are drawn to Locke Lamora..I need to know what happens... Maybe ten minutes of reading won't hurt me :D
